Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AOM), at it’s best, is truly a preventive medicine. Looking at a person's health in a linear fashion, we find on one end health, or the natural state of being, and on the other end, disease. Everything from headaches, to neck pain, to common colds, to the flu, to depression, to menstrual irregularities, to infertility, to hypertension (and the list goes on and on) lies somewhere in between. AOM works along this entire spectrum, effectively treating those on even the health end of the spectrum. By managing stress, reducing aches and pains, balancing out highs and lows, an AOM practitioner can intervene before these apparently innocuous problems can take hold and progress in to more serious problems. AOM also effectively treats those on the disease end of the spectrum, returning them to the health.
